The Book
I have often looked at paintings and wondered, "Where did that come from?" Not just how it was done, but what was the thought process behind the creation of the work of art. Something you almost never see. This book showcases a series of paintings created for the Orlando Opera over a 10 year period. Each season I created 3 to 4 paintings that had to tell the story of each opera. This book fetures the art, the synopsis of the opera with creative insight into how each piece of art evolved, including sketches and color studies plus a section on the creative process that I use to come up with a compelling work of narrative art. Many of these paintings have been accepted and exhibited in the two most prestigious illustration shows in the world, The Society of Illustrators and Communication Arts Illustration Annual.
You can see some of the pieces in the figure section of this website.
